funny toxic trait or fun fact:
What led you to becoming a photographer?
My love for photography and people. There's no better way to get to know people better as a photographer than shooting their weddings. You get to meet some of their closest friends, family members and the spouses they choose to commit to for the rest of their lives till death do them apart. That is big!
How would you describe your personal style?
My shooting style is documentary, editorial, storytelling and candid. I like to frame a shot as if it is from a movie. I like the little moments that make the couple them.

funny toxic trait or fun fact:
What keeps you coming back to shooting weddings?
I keep coming back to shoot weddings because I absolutely love it. It is a joy for me to celebrate your love and your future together, with all of the people you care for. I consider it an honor to be a part of your wedding day. Sadly, not all vendors feel that way, which is yet another reason I keep coming back to shoot weddings. I do everything I can to help you have the best day ever. I love becoming a part of the family for the weekend, and capturing all the special interactions between you and your people. I enjoy participating in all the fun, as well as taking a step back and becoming a fly on the wall.
How would you describe your personal style?
That's definitely a tough question, but I try to document couples in a genuine way that isn't striving for perfection or fluffing up reality. I want to document you and your relationship as is with all its quirks and unique aspects. I do this by avoiding posing when possible and giving more prompts to get you moving and more comfortable in front of my camera. I also love the way film can capture moments in such a raw, nautral way, so I love to find inspiration through home videos and film photography.

What led to you becoming a wedding photographer?
Funny enough, the pandemic kick-started my business. I was sick of working in food service and unknowingly quit my job the day before lock-down was announced. I needed work, and was searching for something I could pour creative energy into. I put myself out there and landed an internship for all of 2020 shadowing a wedding photographer at all her gigs. The following year, I entered the wedding photo field with more experience and the demand of all the rescheduled 2020 weddings. I am an artist first and I always say my passion is capturing the likeness of a person. Whether that be on canvas, sculpted in clay, or captured in a photo. I love that I am able to combine my love for art with my love for people and preserving memories.
How would you describe your personal style?
Folk music, film photos, iced coffee & bagels, summer evenings, puppy kisses, deep conversations, golden fields, exploring new cities, oil painting, earth tones, thrifting, art museums, spontaneous travel, candle light, a cozy night in, friend's laughter, sunsets - some of my favorite things. I would describe my personal style as warm, artistic, and earthy.

What keeps you coming back to shooting weddings?
There's just something so beautiful about being able to be apart of such a special day and capture a couple that truly is meant to be together. Being able to see the love they have together and the love and support they have around them really brings me so much joy. I also just love being able to give such a gift of remembering the little moments and emotions behind a wedding day many years down the road.

On your wedding day, you might want to work with me, or you might want to work with one of the associate photographers who share my journalistic aesthetic, my vision, and my commitment to a client centered experience.
It is so important to me that you feel extremely comfortable with these amazing associates! You can check out their work here (edited, always, by me), check out some common FAQs below, and of course don’t hesitate to connect with me with additional questions - that’s what I’m here for!
A team committed to putting your love and experience first…
Work with an associate

Associate photographers are great for clients who really gravitate toward my work, but the budget doesn't match up OR I'm unavailable on their date. These photographers work closely with me so not only are they on top of my style - but I also edit your photos so they are consistent with my work!

Great question! Early on I realized that I can only be in so many places at once, and I also THRIVE on organization + planning. There are photographers out there who love to take photos however it works better for their business or lifestyle to associate shoot. This way they can capture gorgeous weddings, supplement their income, but not have to plan for 1+ years or edit the photos. I then step in to do what I love, help you plan and prepare!

I do! Although my associate's shoot similar to me + know my style, their editing differs. The day after your wedding, your photographer would drop the photos off with me so I can start working on your sneak peeks!

It will take roughly 4 to 6 weeks to receive your final wedding photos. I put a lot of love and care into perfecting each image, which is why it'll take me a little bit more time to deliver your final images. If you'd like your photos sooner, please ask me about the rush fee.

This has never happened and will NEVER happen. However, if it did, I have contacts all over the Midwest that will be able to step in. These are other talented photographers who will take good care of you.
